Fitting a centre seat requires a wider webbing section of the seat, this enables you to sit either side of the canoe to paddle solo or if the centre seat is being used by young crew, then they have the space to sit side by side which works well too. Our Wood Deep Dish Yoke is 95cm wide and made from sustainably sourced solid European ash. The yoke is ergonomically designed to better fit your shoulders when portaging your canoe. This in turn means it is significantly more comfortable when carrying your boat on your shoulders. One of the best upgrades you can give your boat. The Hou Sailing Thwart is designed to fit any canoe. It allows you to support a canoe pole in order to sail your canoe. You will of course need a sail and a mast foot as well to complete the project. The sailing thwart is made from sustainable ash and measures 95cm long so can be cut down to fit any boat.

The Hou Plastic Seat Hanging Kit is designed to work with our plastic seats. The kit includes 4 x M5 stainless steel bolts specifically for the Hou plastic seats.

The kit contains two bolts with washers and nuts needed to fit any yoke, thwart or carry handle in your canoe. The bolts are made from high grade stainless steel so wont rust.

The Hou Kneeling mat is made from super super gripey high tec fabric which stays grippy even when wet which so many mats don’t.
