Warranty Terms and Conditions

Tootega provide 2 different warranties based on the construction type as laid out below

Standard and Club

For the original retail purchaser Tootega provide a lifetime warranty against material or manufacturing defects in the hull.

Parts, accessories, and outfitting (including gunwales) are warranted for a period of one 1 year against material or manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

This limited warranty is only valid with the purchase of a Tootega kayak from a Tootega authorised dealer.  This warranty is for the original retail purchaser and non-transferable.

Your Tootega kayak must be registered within 30 days of purchase to activate the warranty. Proof of purchase must be presented to make a warranty claim.

Hydrolite

For the original retail purchaser Tootega provide a 2 year warranty against material or manufacturing defects in the hull.
Parts, accessories, and outfitting (including gunwales) are warranted for a period of one 1 year against material or manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

This limited warranty is only valid with the purchase of a Tootega kayak from a Tootega authorised dealer.  This warranty is for the original retail purchaser and non-transferable.

Obtaining Warranty Service

If you are unfortunate enough to have a problem with your kayak and you suspect that it may be due to defective materials or workmanship, contact the Tootega Dealer where you bought your canoe and arrange to have the problem inspected.  The customer is responsible for the cost of delivery to, and pickup from, the point of purchase.

If the Tootega authorised dealer inspects the canoe and believes there is a defect that is due to materials or workmanship, Tootega will arrange to have the canoe returned to Factory or make a site visit to fully evaluate and test the fault. In the event that the fault is deemed of warrantable nature your Tootega kayak will be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion free of charge and be returned back to your point of sale. 

Tootega reserves right to replace original canoes or equipment with comparable current products or full refund of purchase price.

Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

•    Normal wear and tear and natural aging of product.

•    Kayaks damaged by improper use, handling, storage or neglect,

•    Kayaks that have been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified.

•    Kayaks damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.

•    Kayaks determined to have been used for any activity other than its intended use

•    Kayaks used for professional or commercial purposes.

•    Kayaks sold as "demos"

   
Kayaks sold as “2nd quality” are covered under this limited warranty for one year from the original purchase date.

In no event shall Tootega Kayaks be liable for any incidental, compensatory, punitive, consequential indirect, special or other damage and its aggregate liability with respect to a defective product shall be limited to an amount equal to the original purchase price paid for that defective product.
